Prayer and worship in our school family.

Our school is built on a foundation of love, understanding and a belief in everyone, underpinned by Gospel Values and Catholic Social Teaching. Our purpose is reflected in our School Mission statement and forms the 'rock' upon which we build our school.
Prayer and Worship forms an integral part of our provision and we invite families to join us in our school mission.  Although Catholic in nature, it is by no means exclusive: we welcome children and families of all faiths and beliefs, no matter where they are in their own journey, believing we are all precious in the eyes of God.
On this page you will find links to information that invites you to join us.
Everyone connected to our school is a member of our school family. We warmly invite you to join us on Mondays for our liturgy and our Celebration Assembly each Friday. The complete weekly worship timetable will be available shortly.
The prayer and worship life at Holy Cross was included in the most recent inspection of our school as a Catholic Community by CAST. We hope you will enjoy reading the resulting  Section 48 Inspection Report. We think it is a wonderful celebration of all that is central to our community of faith.  To read it, click on the link below:
Jeroen created this beautiful video and shared it with the school during Holy Week. He is delighted to share it with you too. It is very moving. Well done Jeroen!

Were you not able to join us for our weekly whole school liturgy?

We warmly invite you to join us for our Monday whole school liturgy each week at 9 am.
It's a lovely way to start the week and to share in the prayer life of your children. Tea and coffee is provided by Rachel, our wonderful parent support adviser, from 8.30 am when you drop your children to school so you don't have to wait in the cold. It may be an opportunity to meet with other parents and establish friendships.
We hope to see you next Monday!
Looking for new ways to pray? Try downloading the 'Pray As You Go' app; daily reflections with music on the scripture of the day. Great on the journey to school or work or as a peaceful way to close the day.
Pope Francis also suggests this fantastic visual way to pray using a hand as a guide. We think the children would love to share this form of prayer with you at home.
