Message from the Head of Learning

This week

We celebrated a beautiful Mass with our year 6 leavers on Friday. The Foundation class presented their buddies with candles to thank them for the care they have shown them this year. It was lovely to share this special occasion with Mrs Wolstencroft, our Chair of Governors, and our families and friends. Please join us for our year 6 leavers’ assembly at 2.00 pm on Friday 20th July.

We celebrated many sporting achievements at our annual sports day on Monday. What a wonderful day it was! Thank you for joining us. Well done to our talented children and thank you to Mr Driscoll for the many hours spent organising this successful event.

Thank you to our year 6 children and our PTFA for organising a very successful summer fair on Friday. We were delighted that so many of you were able to come along and support this event.

It was good to see many of you here for our ‘Meet the teaching team’ events. Please make contact with your child’s new teacher if you were unable to attend. If you have any further questions or concerns please do not hesitate to see Mr Cotter or me.

Don’t forget to take your child along to your local library to sign up for the summer reading challenge. Aimed at 4 to 12 year olds it's a great way to keep children reading over the holiday and is a lot of fun, especially this year as it's celebrating @BeanoOfficial. Oh and it's free!

Please give careful consideration to our uniform policy when buying uniform for the new academic year. We pride ourselves on our smart appearance as a school and we appreciate your support with this.

Please note that sensible black shoes must be worn and PE kit is essential.

Finally, please consider our neighbours when dropping off and collecting your children. Please do not use private parking spaces. Thank you for your support.

Liturgy in School

Please join us for whole school liturgy on Monday at 9.00 am.

The theme for our prayer and worship this week is:

LISTEN TO THE PROPHET

: Dear Jesus, sometimes I think people don’t like me - and you know how that feels. Help me to remember that I am loved. Thank you for always being with me. Help me to be a prophet, sharing God’s message of love with everyone I meet.

Amen
