Message from the Head of Learning
What a wonderful start to the term! We were delighted to see so many children taking part in our ‘Cakes with Cotter’ event on Monday.
Congratulations go to: -
Mason and Sonny (JD – FS);
Darcey and Lily-Rose (SJ – Y1); Isabelle, Ashleigh and Joseph (EC – Y1/2); Alexandra, Esme, Julian, Tiago and Tillie (H – Y2); Jesse and Daria (DKS – Y3); Gerran and Jaydon (RD – Y3); Amelia and Elias (MM – Y4); Nonny, Isaac and Caleb (JKR – Y5); Heba and Sonia (RMK – Y6).
Well done to each and every one of them for achieving this accolade.
A very warm welcome to our new children and families. Our school is a happy place to be and we are delighted to welcome you into our Holy Cross family.
We have welcomed several students from Plymouth University and Plymouth Marjon University recently. We are proud of the strong relationship we have with the universities and are proud of the good reputation our school has. Visitors always remark how warm and welcoming our school is and how beautifully behaved our children are. We are very proud of them.
Year 6 parents will be aware that Miss McCalley has put together a wonderful programme of booster sessions for this term. We are pleased that so many of you have already shown interest in these. We are very grateful to Miss McCalley and her team for giving up their time to run this additional provision.
Thank you for sending the children back to school looking smart and ready for learning. We ask that hair accessories are blue or black hair bands, bobbles and clips; no big bows please. Sensible black shoes are part of our uniform policy - no trainers. We also ask that extreme hairstyles are avoided.
Good luck to our children taking part in the netball tournament next week. We hope you enjoy the experience. We know that you will represent our school well.
Have a lovely weekend.

School Dinners cost £2.10 per day. If you pay for school dinners and know that your child is having a school dinner each day, please ensure enough money is placed on your ParentPay account to cover the meals.
Please also ensure that if your child is taking part in an event, or going on a trip, that requires payment, that payment is made in good time BEFORE the event takes place.
