We will be having a strong focus on times tables in king-smith class this year. The expectation in year 3 is that children will know 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 8x and 10x tables. In year 4 children are expected to know all times tables up to 12. We will be using 'Times Tables RockStars' this year to motivate us to increase our recall speed of the times tables. The children will be provided with a username and password to log on to the website but please ask if you would like this information.
Welcome to our Class Page!

Please check our class page regularly for updates of what we have been learning in class. You will also find out about our Wonder of the Week, copies of any letters sent out, home learning information and plenty of pictures!
Our Learning This Week:

We are about to embark on a very busy term where expectation is that the children will make good progress. They are all settled into KS2 now ready to move onto the next stage of their learning journey.
In English, we are learning the story of 'Lost and Found'. This is a journey story. Over the next 3 weeks the children will be imitating, innovating and then inventing their own journey story.
In maths, we will be covering shape, space and measures with a focus being on perimeter and area.
Our reading focus this term will be on stories from around the world. This is our topic for this term - All around the World.
Science will be based on animals including humans. We will cover the digestive system and teeth.
In RE, we will complete our Christmas unit before moving onto Revelations.

We enjoyed a fantastic workshop on 07.11, creating a Lego village complete with lighting and a motorised railway! Please take a look at our photos in our class gallery.
