Junior Ten Tors

What is the Junior Ten Tors?
Each year a group of 8 Year 6 pupils are chosen to take part in the annual Junior Ten Tors Challenge. Four Boys and four Girls are trained in orienteering, first aid and camping. Their task is to complete a gruelling 25km trek across the wilderness of Dartmoor (accompanied by an adult team leader). The expedition takes place over two days with a wild camp in between. It is an excellent team building exercise, one that the children participating in never forget.
In the spirit of our Federation, we join up with our sister school, The Cathedral School of St Mary to train for and complete this event.
