"...[The] world’s greatest discoveries have been made because people were playing around with an idea. The freedom of thought allowed for, by play may unlock the learning potential which more confined approaches to the curriculum leave behind.” Taylor and Baulter, 1993

The pirates took over our classroom leaving us clues and surprises everyday. It all started when we found a treasure chest on Monday morning in the classroom, the pirates left us a map which we followed and lead us to our school library where they left us a new pirate book. When we returned from the library the pirates had messed up our classroom and left us more clues. On Wednesday they created a pirate ship in our teaching room and tried to escape out of the window, however they dropped us golden coins which we followed to find even more clues. As the week went on we received more pirate challenges and produced lots of amazing writing for the pirates. We wonder if they will come back this half term...
Happy Easter to you all!
Can you help?

We are always looking to add to our outside resources (we have added a photo of some examples) crates, guttering, pipes, cable reels etc in good condition would be greatly appreciated to help further develop our outside area.
